NCBFAA members are invited to attend a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) webinar on April 6 at 3-4 p.m. ET regarding recent issued guidance on Section 232 duties for Russian aluminum products, Column 2 duties on Russian products, and Aluminum Smelt and Cast requirements for all countries.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is gearing up for its upcoming e-filing Beta Pilot, which will begin in the fall. The Commission is now working to finalize the CATAIR and to onboard importer and customs broker participants in the pilot.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced March 30 that the new requirements for reporting the countries of smelt and cast for imports of aluminum and aluminum derivative products effective on April 10 have been delayed 30 days to May 10.
