Every Regular Member can make a marked difference in how our industry operates now and well into the future by participating in one of NCBFAA’s three primary Standing Committees—Transportation, Customs, and Regulatory Agencies. These three committees also include a myriad legislative- and regulatory-specific subcommittees. Participation in NCBFAA Committees and Subcommittees also maximizes the benefits of Regular membership and offers opportunities for professional growth, collaborative discourse, and lifelong friendships among industry colleagues.
How to Join an NCBFAA Committee
- You must be a Regular member (Affiliate, Associate and NEI Corporate & Professional members are not eligible to join NCBFAA Committees)
- Participate in a Quarterly Board Meeting (held four times a year): January, NCBFAA Annual Conference in the spring, June, and at the Government Affairs Conference (GAC) in September to hear about committee initiatives and meet other committee members prior to joining a committee.
- After attending a Board meeting, complete our Member Volunteer Form and indicate the committee you wish to join. We recommend joining just one to start.
- Members who volunteer to join a committee are reviewed at the quarterly Board meetings and you will receive an email from the committee chair indicating that you have been added to the list of committee members who receive meeting invitations. Thank you for your patience.
