NCBFAA Membership and Meetings Coordinator (Part-time, 20 hours a week)
The National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) is seeking a people-oriented, well-organized, tech-savvy professional to assist with our webinars, conferences, and Board meetings. This is a new, part-time position of 20 hours per week, based in Silver Spring, MD. 
Who We Are
The National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) represents our nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries, and air cargo agents.  We are the voice of the industry, advocating for and supporting our members on issues concerning international trade. 
What You’ll Do
The Membership and Meetings Coordinator will split time between the Membership team and the Meetings team. Primary year-round responsibilities will center on webinars, flexing to focus on meetings quarterly in conjunction with Board meetings and conferences. 
Meetings (Quarterly):
- Process conference registrations, badges, and invoices.
 - Communicate with members via email and telephone, pack materials for shipping, other administrative duties.  
 - Manage conference app for Annual Conference. 
 - Make basic website updates regarding conferences and meetings.
 - One April weekend per year: Flexibility to work weekend hours (remotely) during the Annual Conference to process last-minute registrants, etc. 
 
Membership:
- Webinars: work with members to schedule, market, coordinate registration, and run webinars on the GoToWebinar platform. Advise members, schedule marketing eblasts, lead speakers through test runs. Introduce speakers and monitor the webinar for smooth production. Manage pre- and post-webinar tasking.  
 - Communications Distribution Lists: ensure all members are receiving communications; monitor platforms for bounce-backs and unsubscribes. 
 - General administrative duties as needed.

 - Software skills: you are      comfortable with databases, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and other common platforms.      Experience with GoToMeetings, Constant Contact and MemberMax would be an      unexpected bonus.
 
What Else You Should Know
This part-time position is based in downtown Silver Spring, MD, with in-office hours expected on Tuesdays; other hours may be done remotely.  No travel, but we do request flexibility to work weekend hours (remotely) during the Annual Conference (April). 
The person in this position reports to both Meetings and Membership team leads and works in close collaboration with other team members. We anticipate needing 20 hours per week to start, with the potential for more hours. Hourly rate: $24/hr.
