NCBFAA on Jan. 20 responded to a “Notice of Information Collection, Request for Comment” from the Census Bureau which referenced the agency’s Dec. 15, 2021 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NRPM) proposing the inclusion of a new conditional data element for country of origin (COO) as part of the Electronic Export Information (EEI) transmission to the Automated Export System (AES) whenever the commodity is coded “F” (Foreign).
