USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is looking to revise certain Section 8e fees related to the inspection and certification of fresh fruits, vegetables and other products. As outlined in a June 20 Federal Register notice, AMS proposes to change the basis for calculating the inspection fees from a per-car lot basis to a per-pound basis.

Beginning Aug. 1, 2024, a new rule published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will require all dogs entering the U.S. to appear healthy upon arrival, be at least six months of age, be microchipped, and be accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form receipt previously submitted to CDC online.
