Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has provided guidance on Section 301 technical amendments to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) to two Section 301 exclusions under HTSUS 9903.88.67.

Previously, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) granted a customs broker additional time, without penalty, to submit entry summaries and payments of duties when the broker experienced a system issue, including those related to local weather disruptions, that prevented timely filing. This practice, known as “snow days,” is no longer in effect.

The State Department is requesting stakeholder input on options for combating international deforestation associated with commodities grown on deforested land.
