Previously, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) granted a customs broker additional time, without penalty, to submit entry summaries and payments of duties when the broker experienced a system issue, including those related to local weather disruptions, that prevented timely filing. This practice, known as “snow days,” is no longer in effect.
