Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the NCBFAA represents more than 1500 member companies with 110,000 employees in international trade - the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. The Association’s members handle more than 97% of the entries for goods imported into the United States and are directly involved with the logistics of these goods. Further, members operating as OTIs are involved with approximately 80 to 85% of all exports from the United States.

  • CBP Guidance Modifying Section 338 Additional Duties on Certain Canadian Goods

    Sep 11, 2026
    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Sept. 11 provided the trade with guidance on the modifications to the Section 338 Canada duties pursuant to the Presidential Proclamations on Modifying the Scope of Products of Canada Subject to the Additional Duties Imposed to Offset Canadian Discrimination Against the Commerce of the United States with Respect to Alcoholic Beverages and Motor Vehicles issued on Sept. 8. These changes shall be effective with respect to goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 a.m. ET on Sept. 15.

  • FDA Clarifies It Does Not Provide Verification of MoCRA Compliance

    The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) informed cosmetic product facilities, retailers, and industry stakeholders that the agency does not provide certificates or other documents to verify that a company is compliant with FDA's cosmetic product facility registration. Under the 2022 Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), facilities that manufacture or process cosmetic products are required to register their facility with FDA and renew the registration every two years.
