Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the NCBFAA represents more than 1422+ member companies with 110,000 employees in international trade - the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. The Association’s members handle more than 97% of the entries for goods imported into the United States and are directly involved with the logistics of these goods. Further, members operating as OTIs are involved with approximately 80 to 85% of all exports from the United States.

  • President Trump to Impose 10 Percent Tariff on Some EU Countries, UK, and Norway Starting Feb 1

    Jan 18, 2026
    President Trump said in a Truth Social post on Saturday morning, Jan. 17, that starting Feb. 1 he will impose a 10% tariff on “any and all goods” imported into the U.S. from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, U.K., the Netherlands, and Finland, increasing the tariff to 25% by June 1.

  • NCBFAA Customs Committee Monitors Recent Section 232 Tariff Actions

    The NCBFAA Customs Committee and Counsel of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., continue to provide our customs broker members with the latest details regarding the recent Section 232 tariff actions by the Trump Administration related to imports of semiconductor products, as well as reciprocal and Section 232 tariff changes for certain Taiwan products. The Committee will continue sending our members Trump Administration tariff updates and subsequent CBP guidance, as soon as received.

  • Duty Calculation Validation Enhancement in ACE CERT with PROD Deployment Set for Feb 17

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Jan. 16 announced it has updated the ACE certification environment (CERT) to enhance duty calculation validation in response to trade requests. This enhancement is expected to be deployed to the ACE Production (PROD) environment on Feb. 17, the agency said.
