Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the NCBFAA represents more than 1,300 member companies with 110,000 employees in international trade - the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. The Association’s members handle more than 97% of the entries for goods imported into the United States and are directly involved with the logistics of these goods. Further, members operating as OTIs are involved with approximately 80 to 85% of all exports from the United States.

  • NCBFAA Customs Committee Tracks De-escalation of Tariffs for China-Hong Kong Products

    May 15, 2025
    The NCBFAA Customs Committee and Counsel of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., continue to monitor and highlight key changes within the IEEPA tariff and de minimis landscape on behalf of our customs broker members. This week's IEEPA Tariff Memo outlines the changes brought by the White House’s May 12 Executive Order initiating changes to the ad valorem duty rate, tariff modifications, and de minimis for China, plus a new CBP FAQ regarding feeder vessel scenarios impacted by in-transit guidance for reciprocal entries and other sources of tariff information.

  • BIS Rescinds Artificial Intelligence Diffusion Rule

    May 15, 2025
    The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has rescinded the AI Diffusion Rule that was issued on Jan. 15, 2025, and was take effect May 15, 2025. BIS does plan to publish a regulation that will formalize the rescission of the existing rule, as well as issue a replacement rule in the future.

Our goal with this webinar is to assist the trade in understanding what details need to be gathered for the proper entry of glove shipments and how to make informed classification decisions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
