Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the NCBFAA represents more than 1422+ member companies with 110,000 employees in international trade - the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. The Association’s members handle more than 97% of the entries for goods imported into the United States and are directly involved with the logistics of these goods. Further, members operating as OTIs are involved with approximately 80 to 85% of all exports from the United States.

  • NCBFAA Customs Committee Tracks Tariff Changes Related to U.S.-Argentina Trade Deal and Reset of Reciprocal Tariffs for India

    Feb 6, 2026
    The NCBFAA Customs Committee and Counsel of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., will continue to provide our customs broker members with pertinent details regarding the implementation of the Feb. 5 U.S.-Argentina Trade Deal as it pertains to tariff adjustments, as well as the Feb. 6 White House announcement to lower the reciprocal tariff for India back to 18%. Meanwhile, the Committee will send our members additional Trump Administration tariff updates and subsequent Customs and Border Protection (CBP) guidance, as soon as received.

  • CBP Updates Procedures to Add Notify Parties – CBP Form 4811

    Feb 6, 2026
    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Feb. 6 transitioned to electronic refunds in accordance with Executive Order 14247. To prepare for the transition, CBP has updated the CBP Form 4811, Special Address Notification (12/25), which is used to authorize notify parties.

  • CBP Guidance -- Reauthorization of Preferential Trade Legislative Programs AGOA, HOPE, and HELP

    Feb 6, 2026
    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) today, Feb. 6, provided the trade with detailed guidance related the 2026 reauthorization of the duty-free treatment through Dec. 31, 2026, for imports from eligible AGOA beneficiary countries and select imports from Haiti under the Haiti/HOPE and Haiti/HELP programs, for imports entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption. The Act extends special rules for Haiti under the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act. The reauthorization via H.R. 7148 was signed into law by President Trump on Feb. 3.
