Thursday, November 5 at 12 PM ET Register here Generative AI is already inside every brokerage, whether or not it's been "officially" adopted. This session gives licensed customs brokers and forwarders a clear, non-technical picture of what AI actually is (a fluency machine, not a truth machine) and where the law places responsibility when it gets customs work wrong. We'll cover the reasonable-care standard under 19 U.S.C. § 1484, brokers' responsible supervision and control obligations under 19 CFR Part 111, and how culpability tiers under §§ 1592 and 1641 change depending on whether AI use was supervised or not. We'll also look at two of 2026's landmark developments in AI liability law, including the UK Jurisdiction Taskforce's Legal Statement on Liability for AI Harms, and use the ongoing IEEPA tariff refund wave as a live case study in dividing machine work from judgment work. Attendees leave with three concrete, no-cost steps they can implement the following Monday.
