The Emerging Leaders Mentor Program is a discounted registration offered to qualified individuals to attend either of the NCBFAA conferences at a special rate. NCBFAA established this program with the intent of providing mentoring opportunities and developing a future generation of association leadership, as NCBFAA Board of Directors and Officers generally come from the grass-root ranks of our Regular and Affiliated Association members throughout the country. In addition, this program provides the local associations the ability to give motivated individuals an opportunity to network with substantially experienced industry professionals and volunteers at either an NCBFAA Annual Conference (AC) or Government Affairs Conference (GAC) through a discounted registration rate.

IFCBA 2025 KYOTO WORLD CONFERENCE

Kyoto , Japan

IFCBA 2025 KYOTO WORLD CONFERENCE
Kyoto Japan
March 25 to 28, 2025

https://www.ifcba.org/conferences

Why you should attend the conference.

The world of global trade is changing. Important strategies and policies are focused on customs and border management. Countries are responding in different ways, with possibilities of implementation of tariffs and other barriers to trade.  Traditional alliances and existing trade agreements are being reviewed and, in some cases, questioned. Customs brokers are the hub of international trade transactions, representing many thousands of traders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating trade across borders.  This conference is the perfect place to learn and share information critical to business, and to governments.

Who will be there?

We are honoured that this conference is presented under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance, Japan. We are also deeply grateful that the keynote address for the conference will be delivered by Dr. Kunio Mikuriya, the former Secretary General of the World Customs Organization. Dr. Mikuriya will inspire with his extensive knowledge and wisdom from his years of service and leadership for the international trade community.

This is a conference of customs brokers, other trade and logistics professionals, government officials, representatives of international organizations and other experts from around the world. It is the one place to learn about current developments, to share views about potential impacts, and to identify strategies for a future of partnerships and prosperity.

There is a roster of distinguished speakers and panelists from a variety of countries outlined in the conference program on the IFCBA website (Conferences | Ifcba). They will cover a range of subjects, including: AEO (Authorized Economic Operator), artificial intelligence (AI), digitalization, economic partnership agreements, e-commerce and gender equality and diversity. All panels and presentations will have time for questions and comments from you, the audience.

Is it “all about business”?

Kyoto is an extraordinary place. Some of you may have previously visited this wonderful city, but perhaps not during the splendor of cherry blossom time which is when we will be there.

From the opening welcome reception on the evening of March 25 to the Kyoto night tour and optional excursion, our local hosts have ensured that there is plenty of time to get to know Kyoto and your fellow delegates.

The IFCBA 2025 Kyoto World Conference is a “once in a lifetime” combination of business value and pleasure.
