The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) announced a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for the GLOBAL Organic Integrity Database (GLOBAL INTEGRITY) and invites stakeholders to sign up to receive email updates on the status of GLOBAL INTEGRITY.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) proposed new and more stringent safety requirement standards for toys (under its Part 1250 Toy Standard) containing button cell or coin cell batteries, with the goal of preventing child access to batteries during reasonably foreseeable use and abuse of battery-operated toys.

However, those deleted aluminum and steel HTS numbers were included in the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) Federal Register notice of June 12 which stated that household appliances with aluminum and steel content will be subject to Section 232 50% tariffs, effective 12:01 a.m. ET on June 23.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on June 28 will deploy an enhancement in the ACE Production environment that will increase the number of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) numbers allowed per entry summary line to 16 HTS numbers from the current limit of eight HTS numbers.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) notified the trade that the ACE Import Truck Manifest ANSI X12 350 Message Implementation Guide has been updated with new valid disposition codes.
