  • CBP Plans Pilot for Paperless Exports of Used Vehicles

    Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on May 10 its plan to conduct a voluntary pilot starting June 9 to promote paperless processing of export documentation for used self-propelled vehicles (USPVs). Generally, USPVs include any vehicle that can be driven on land but not rail.

    NCBFAA on May 9 responded with comments to the March 23 State Department’s Interim Final Rule (IFR) amending the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The IFR contains long-awaited updates to the ITAR, including re-organization of group-related definitions and regulatory sections.
