As we move from a post WWII free trade agenda, through a fair trade posture, and now into what everyone agrees is a heavy focus on enforcement for all trade, what do you need to be prepared for?  In this webinar we will look at elements of a good approach for the next phase in global trade:

What areas are you concerned about? What you need to know:

  •  AD/CVD Exposure
  •  Enforce and Protect Act allegations and Investigations
  •  International Emergency Economic Powers Act actions that are being contemplated
  •  Forced Labor and UFLPA in your supply chain
  •  De Minimis changes – are you exposed
  •  Mexico and Canada times they are a changing

How can you assess where you have risks?

  • Focus on what you can control
  • Run the data, map it out
  • Game it out by asking “ what happens if”
  •  Perform tabletop exercises

How can you prepare to address these risks?

  • What was learned from the data, are there patterns that can be determined?
  • Assess levels of risk:
  • Very High (problem now & must be address immediately),
  • High (will be a problem)
  • Medium (possible problem)
  • Low (be aware but no problem anticipated)
  • Determine action plans to implement in each major situation
  • Plan your playbook - proactive planning reduces time to react, and lessens impact of actions
  • Don’t forget to assess financial impacts of doing nothing vs taking an action ahead of time

    What can you do now?

  • Analyze, prepare, plan, and outline option
