GTC Chemical Webinar
This sector-specific three-day Chemical Classification Advanced Mini Course provides a comprehensive guide to classifying chemicals under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. Each day begins with a 20–30-minute e-learning video, followed by ongoing engagement in a discussion community, where students can ask questions and exchange insights throughout the course. Each day concludes with a live interactive session, where Bonnie Kersch answers questions and leads hands-on classification exercises. Day 1 covers the fundamentals, including chemical structure basics, distinguishing organic vs. inorganic chemicals, and recognizing cyclic vs. acyclic compounds. Day 2 explores more complex topics such as heterocyclic rings and modified aromatics. Day 3 focuses on classifying chemical mixtures, equipping students with the tools to navigate real-world classification challenges.
