  • New CDC Rule for Dog Imports

    Jun 17, 2024
    Beginning Aug. 1, 2024, a new rule published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will require all dogs entering the U.S. to appear healthy upon arrival, be at least six months of age, be microchipped, and be accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form receipt previously submitted to CDC online.

    The NCBFAA Education Institute (NEI) and its partner, TraversEd, are now officially validated by FIATA to offer the prestigious FIATA Diploma in the United States. This is the first time U.S.-based students can earn this internationally recognized diploma, which is acknowledged in over 150 countries.

  • BIS Rescinds Artificial Intelligence Diffusion Rule

    May 15, 2025
    The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has rescinded the AI Diffusion Rule that was issued on Jan. 15, 2025, and was take effect May 15, 2025. BIS does plan to publish a regulation that will formalize the rescission of the existing rule, as well as issue a replacement rule in the future.

  • CPSC Makes It Easier to Get on Board Product Registry for E-Filing

    The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has now launched Self-Registration for the eFiling Product Registry voluntary stage. This allows importers and customs brokers to participate in the program ahead of the mandatory eFiling date of July 1, 2026.
