  • Moratorium on Imported Walnut Inspections

    The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on Sept. 1 started a six-month moratorium on enforcement of the mandatory inspection requirements for imported walnuts under Section 8e of the Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act. The enforcement moratorium also applies to California-grown walnuts.
