The Teamsters on July 25 reached a tentative agreement with UPS to avert a strike that had been scheduled to take place Aug. 1 if an agreement could not be reached. The new five-year agreement includes raised wages for all workers, creates more full-time jobs, and includes dozens of workplace protections and improvements.
