The American Association of Exporters & Importers (AAEI) and the NCBFAA Educational Institute (NEI) have launched the Importing 201 course. The Importing 201 course is designed to provide an importer’s compliance professional(s) and corporate leadership with an overview of the key customs topics of knowledge, key compliance functions and their roles, and activities required to build an effective internal compliance program. The course builds on the NEI Import 101 course to strengthen a company’s existing competencies in import compliance to reduce Customs scrutiny.
“We are so pleased that the NEI has teamed up with the AAEI to make available, on-demand, practical information that is sure to bridge the information gap within corporations to reduce internal frictions and facilitate trade compliance,” said Cynthia Whittenburg, NEI Executive Vice President.
“In an era increasingly defined by ever-changing trade laws, it is more important than ever for trade professionals to ensure knowledge of U.S. and international laws governing the import and export of goods, commodities, and services, as well as compliance within their organizations,” said Eugene Laney, President & CEO.
For more than 100 years, the American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI) has represented the unique interests of those within the global trade industry. Leveraging relationships built over a long history with the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association, this course provides subject-specific resources to improve trade professionals’ understanding of international trade and global supply chains.
