Webinar: Coated and Laminated Garments of Headings 6113 and 6210
The National Commodity Specialist Division, Office of Trade, is excited to present the next round of approximately 30+ commodity-specific, educational webinars to support our internal and external stakeholders. This year they intend to focus on Greening the Tariff, providing guidance on the classification of sustainable products and environmentally friendly practices in addition to their general Tariff training, Beginning March through September 2024, each webinar will commence at 1:30 Eastern time and run for about an hour. U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s National Commodity Specialist Division (NCSD) is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. EST titled Coated and Laminated Garments of Headings 6113 and 6210. The webinar is part of the 2024 NCSD webinar series and will cover how to classify garments that are coated or laminated with plastic, how to tell if the fabric meets this classification of heading 5903, and what it means to be “made up” for the purposes of classifying apparel within headings 6113 and 6210.
