Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the NCBFAA represents more than 1,300 member companies with 110,000 employees in international trade - the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. The Association’s members handle more than 97% of the entries for goods imported into the United States and are directly involved with the logistics of these goods. Further, members operating as OTIs are involved with approximately 80 to 85% of all exports from the United States.

    The NCBFAA Customs Committee and Counsel of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., to assist our customs brokers members to navigate the IEEPA tariffs, has provided the following educational and informational documents, including the IEEPA Reciprocal Tariffs In-Transit Duty Exemption Clause, Reciprocal Tariffs CSMS Guide, and Guidance on 232 Duty Exceptions from CBP's Base Metals Center. In addition, the latest information pertinent to customs brokers regarding de minimis for China and Hong Kong is provided.

Rob Fishman has over 20 years of experience in the C Suite, including CEO and Board positions for private and public companies, including EVP and Chief Underwriting Officer of Zurich NA.. He was recently on the advisory committee of Value Insured, Lendaily and CEO of Evogi, all startups in the Fintech area. He currently serves as Chief Insurance Advisor to FloraTrace, Inc. He has led acquisitions, turnarounds, transformations, startups, and been deeply involved in improving operations. He has a deep nderstanding of distribution and pricing. He is data driven and yet has consistently developed strategies for products and services on a national and international basis.

Terje Gloerstad, CEO, FloraTrace, Inc. Terje Gloerstad is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of management and technical expertise. Experienced in leading diverse organizations, from large global corporations to entrepreneurial start-up companies. He has held various roles including corporate board member, CEO and CTO. Founder and co-founder of 4 Insurtech companies. His expertise spans a broad range of technical areas such as AI, LLM's, mobile, wireless, product design, insurance, and regulatory. He has demonstrated success in analyzing the viability of business ideas, designing products and services for new growth niches, and developing creative strategies to achieve goals, and building strong cross functional teams.
