Headquartered in the Washington DC metro area, the NCBFAA represents more than 1,300 member companies with 110,000 employees in international trade - the nation's leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries (OTIs), NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. The Association’s members handle more than 97% of the entries for goods imported into the United States and are directly involved with the logistics of these goods. Further, members operating as OTIs are involved with approximately 80 to 85% of all exports from the United States.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, San Francisco Field Operations Importation of Biologicals Webinar

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations – San Francisco Field Office will host an Importation of Biologicals Webinar on September 10-11, 2024, from 9 am to 12:30 pm PDT each day. This virtual event is free to attend.

Join experts from various federal agencies as they provide guidance on the safe and compliant importation of biological materials. CBP will be represented by the Port of San Francisco, San Francisco Field Office, and Agriculture Programs and Trade Liaison. Partner agencies presenting will include U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Department of Transportation (DOT).

The webinar will feature multiple presentations each day, with time allotted for questions and answers. Please register in advance for each day’s event to attend as many or as few presentations on that day as your schedule permits. Please note each day requires a separate registration. Registration for each day is limited to 1,000 participants, so early registration is recommended.
