Network at the NCBFAA Annual Conference Golf Tournament

Every year the NCBFAA Annual Conference Golf Tournament provides its participants with everything golf has to offer; camaraderie, beautiful scenery, relaxation, awards (if you’re lucky or good) but this year there’s a few things different. First there’s an early start. That’s right instead of the noon shotgun start of years past; 2012’s tournament will kick of three hours earlier at nine o’clock a.m.

Why? Lots of reasons. One, as recognized by the majority of Florida’s tournament organizers, the weather is cooler. Two, there’s more time on the 19th hole. Three, awards can be distributed immediately after the tournament. Four, and most importantly, golfers are less rushed for the evening conference events that officially open the Annual Conference with the emphasis on our First Timers and their opportunity to meet the volunteers who so effectively lead our Association.

And, another consideration noted during Conference planning is the focus on the networking aspect of an enjoyable day versus the stress of a competitive pro-am tourney!

There are many other great reasons why you should join us at the NCBFAA Annual Conference Golf Tournament.

The Westin Diplomat Golf Course is the beautiful site of this year’s Golf Outing, sponsored by Avalon Risk Management. The cost for golf this year is a fantastically low $120, and you can sign up when registering for the Annual Conference.

For another, actual tournament sign-in begins at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 22, with a golf clinic at 7:30 a.m. that is free with your paid registration. Those not participating in the clinic should sign in by 8:30 a.m.

Finally, the arrangement of foursomes has been a focus of the conference organizers this year in order to provide golfers interested in specific partners with more input into the final lineups. The idea is to ensure that all participants maximize the fun and enjoyment they experience during the event.

Lunch with a cocktail reception will be available immediately after the NCBFAA Tournament at the course. If you plan on playing in the NCBFAA Tournament on Sunday April 22 and need to rent your clubs they have a pro shop. All special arrangements have to be made directly through the golf course, which can be reached at (954) 883-4449.

Rental Equipment

The Country Club can provide any rental club needs; it is suggested you contact them in advance at (954) 883-4449. The $79.50 cost per set includes an amenity pouch with six golf balls. Shoes are $15.90 per pair. The group and person(s) using the clubs will be responsible for any lost or damaged clubs. Please contact The Country Club for replacement fees.

The Dress code at the Country Club at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa is Slacks or shorts, shirts with sleeves and collars for men and slacks or shorts, dress/skirt and blouse for women. Denim pants or shorts are permitted, however, cut-off jeans are not permitted for men or women. Any player not complying with the dress code may be denied access to or removed from the golf course.
