Washington DC: At its June 9 – 11 meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, the International Federation of Customs Brokers Associations (IFCBA) Board of Directors elected as its Chairman, Mr. Federico C. (Kiko) Zuniga, currently Chairman of the Board of the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America, Inc. Mr. Zuniga has served on the IFCBA Board of Directors since 2003, and for the past two years he has been one of the organization’s Managing Directors.
       With its Secretariat in Ottawa, Canada, the IFCBA represents the views of customs brokers on an international basis. IFCBA provides its members with up-to-date knowledge about international trade and Customs' matters, via e-mail and its web site, where articles of interest are posted. IFCBA annual Board of Directors meetings and biannual international conferences provide excellent opportunities for members to learn about the very latest thinking on Customs-related issues from an international perspective.

      Chairman Zuniga is a 50 percent Owner/Treasurer of F. Zuniga Inc., Laredo, Texas. He worked at the Union National Bank of Laredo as a Bank Loan Officer in the International Department from 1979 until 1982. In 1982, he started a Skating Rink and Arcade business (Gambit Skate Rink and Arcade). 
      In 1983, he joined his father and brother in the family business, F. Zuniga Inc. Customs Brokers and became a licensed broker and one-third partner in 1984. He also started a Distribution Business in 1997, (Diamond Distribution) of which he owns 50 percent. 
      Mr. Zuniga has memberships in the following: the Laredo Licensed Customs Brokers Association; Chairman of the Board of the NCBFAA, serving two terms as President; the International Federation of Customs Brokers Association (IFCBA); past Board Member of the Laredo Development Foundation; and present Board Member of the Boys & Girls Club of Laredo. 
      Mr. Zuniga received his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Texas A&M University.
