CBP Announces CTPAT Minimum Security Criteria Updated
On May 3, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a press release noting the agency’s Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program was receiving an update to its Minimum Security Criteria (MSC). In collaboration with COAC, a series of booklets were produced to “address both eligibility requirements and the MSC for each of the twelve entities in CTPAT.” According to the release, these booklets have been added to the CTPAT Portal and will soon be uploaded to the CTPAT website. CTPAT members “are expected to implement the new criteria throughout the remainder of calendar year 2019 and validations on the new MSC will begin in early 2020.”
