CBP Trade Day in Charleston, SC
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), in conjunction with the Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association of Charleston, will be holding a “Trade Day” on Thursday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the U.S. Customhouse, 200 East Bay Street, in Charleston, SC.
This event will provide members of the trade community to meet with representatives from 10 federal government agencies, including U.S. Department of Commerce, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Coast Guard, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Fish and Wildlife and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Also, as part of the event, CBP Import and Entry Specialists, Officers and Agriculture Specialists will be available to answer questions. Representatives from the CBP Laboratories & Scientific Services Division in Savannah will be on hand to discuss analysis capabilities and conduct tours of their mobile laboratory.
